About Ghiotti

If you’ve ever enjoyed a beautifully arranged antipasti platter with juicy green Sicilian olives and delicately shaved prosciutto, chances are you’ve already experienced Ghiotti without even realising it.

After six years of supplying New Zealand with authentic Italian delicacies through European Foods, we saw an opportunity to make high-quality Italian produce more accessible and affordable for everyone, right here in local supermarkets.

In August 2012, the Ghiotti brand was born, bringing the true taste and spirit of Italy into New Zealand homes.

From the beginning, it has been important to us that Ghiotti reflects genuine Italian heritage and craftsmanship. From cobbled-street-inspired packaging to the rustic ironwork of our logo, every detail has been designed to express authenticity. Even the name “Ghiotti” itself captures the generous, food-loving spirit of Italy that inspires everything we do.

Our first products, L’Autentico Prosciutto and Salame Milano, were introduced with a commitment to quality and authenticity, freshly sliced in New Zealand to ensure a true Italian taste experience. Soon after, the iconic Parmigiano Reggiano joined the range.

Since then, the Ghiotti family has continued to grow, bringing together a curated selection of Italian staples, from sliced meats and cheeses to olives, passata, pasta, and cheese bites, designed to recreate the experience of an authentic Italian table at home.

More than a decade on, Ghiotti has become a trusted name across New Zealand, and we remain as passionate as ever about sharing the indulgence, tradition, and authenticity of Italian food with every table we reach.

With Italy in our DNA our mission is to bring the very best authentic Italian food to New Zealand.
